Yep, LO has a ton of energy, but so do I today.... 2 half coffee half not chocolate for someone who never has more than one can sure make for a productive day!
LO had an extra-long nap this AM. Almost 3 hours! I was able to get a lot done, and even felt a little bored after a while...?
LO is all over the place now. She is standing/climbing on everything, and even starting to cruise a little. I've noticed she is starting to crawl with flat feet and her butt up in the air... only for a sec, but still, I can see that she will be doing something new soon.
This AM after her marathon nap, I fed her before I changed her. I figured she will probably poop while/after she eats, so I will just wait. I have done this a few times, but today, it was a mistake.... hehe She pooped through the side of her diaper, on her leg, a bit on her belly, and onto her sleeper. What's even better is that she hates to be changed, and never sits still for it. Diaper/getting dressed looks a little like this: I put her on the floor, she immediately flips over. I flip her back, she cries, and flips over. I flip her back. You get the idea. And somewhere in btw the floor antics, I manage to get her diaper changed.... usually not without some serious grumbling and frustration on my part....Today, with the massive poonami, I actually found it kind of funny, and so did she! I had ahold of her ankes, trying to wipe her poopies off, and she was flipping around, while I was screeching "NONONNNONONONONNNNNNNNNNOOOOOO" I got her wiped and then I let her go. She was thorouly impressed with being left to run around her room in her birthday suit. I have never let her do that before. She was so excited, she kept grabbing onto things and waving her arms up and down smiling and laughing. I let her do that for about 10 min, and then I decided it was time to change her. Well, the stuggle continued, and she was even kicking my chest when I leaned over to look her in the eyes and say "Shhhhhhhh" (Whatever, it works sometimes.....) So yeah. I really hope this is a short-lived stage, but somehow I doubt it. I have been reading online and most kids do this, but not until after their first B-day! Something tells me I have a very independent little girl with a temper. Another little me. Lord help us all, but especially my husband! Two of us not only in this world, but in the same house?!?! Oh he is going to need a lot of help, or a lot of booze....
We moved her exasaucer into the final stage last night. It was the stage that I was most excited to get to, and its the one that LO is least interested in! I can't blame her though, I don't really love it. Even on its tallest setting, she doesn't need to stand to play with the toys. She can just kneel. And its not that stable. She doesn't really care for it at all yet. I'll leave it out for another week or so and if she doesn't warm up to it, I guess I'll put it away :( But really, for a toy to last us 8+ months, that's pretty great. I don't regret it at all. It was a life saver more times than I can count. I can't believe she is growing out of all her things already! She never uses her swing anymore. She pretty much hates it. She will cry if we put her in it now. The only time she will use it is if she stands up and grab onto it and kinda sway with it LOL She's a cutie.
She is waving hi and bye now, but not every time. I'm not even sure exactly when she started this.... Man her baby book is going to look silly with a bunch of "I dunno" or "Can't remember" where dates of her firsts should be..... :S Glad I started this blog, although I haven't been too disciplined with this either.....
