Well, LO was sick until Jan 3rd or so. Just in time to start daycare on Jan. 4th. The night before her first day at daycare I found it hard to get to sleep. I even cried a little. I don't want to go back to work, and I don't want to send her to daycare. It didn't help that it was "that week" either....I sent her to daycare for a half a day on Jan 4th. She screamed as I left. I cried a bit, but not too bad. When I came back at lunch, they told me that she had a good day. She even napped, which I didn't think she'd do... The next day, she was up at 5am, and on and off again until I got up at 6 with her. She had 3 naps that day, and the daycare people said that she was great. She even interacted with the kids more, walked more, etc. They said that she has a little boyfriend that comes around and kisses her haha. Dada didn't love that too much HEHE. And when its naptime, they have to separate her and one of her little friends because the two of them chit chat and won't nap! LOL They were surprised that she doesn't like the music when she naps. But she doesn't even have a mobile at home, so I am not surprised. They also said that she headed down the hall to the office to visit hehe.
Then on the 6th, they said that she had only one nap, but when I looked at the chart, she had slept for 3 hours and got up at 1. NO WONDER she didn't have an afternoon nap! She had some tomato soup and bread for lunch! I love that because I wouldn't of thought of feeding her that because of my food limitations.... Its not something we usually eat, so I wouldn't think of it. She also had a marshmallow, but they said she only played with it hehe. Today she had 2 naps, and they said that she is doing very well for not being there for long. They said that it takes some kids a lot longer. They said she does a high pitched screach when they put her down for a nap. She does it 5 times, every time, and then stops and goes to sleep LOL.
We started her on half milk and half formula bottles on monday. Now she is on full milk bottles, and it hasn't affected her at all. We were thinking it might because of how she had such trouble with her formula when she was 3 weeks old. But I guess a lot of people in my family had the same problem and grew out of it by the time they were a year old. It looks like that has happened to her too, thank goodness!
She has terrible diaper rash and we are trying to get rid of it. We tried cream #3 tonight, so we'll see how that goes. Maybe corn starch tomorrow? They say thats good....
She got a new car seat on wed too. Its a graco Myride 65. So far, its great. She is not used to it yet, but as long as she has a blankie or toy, she is fine. She has formed quite the attachment to her blankies. She has quite a few different ones, and she just loves them. She will grab on to them and suck her thumb or curl up with them. Yesterday, I took her into the shop while we were waiting for hubby to finish work, and she put her blanket on the floor and curled up with it, right in the middle of the shop! I guess knocking over all of those suckers and trying to get the light bulbs really tired her out....
I am very glad that she is doing well at daycare, but I still wish I didn't have to go back to work. I spent this week cleaning, organizing, getting things done while she was at Daycare. By the time I get her, wait around for hubby to get off of work, and then get home, its time to make supper, eat, then bath, bottle, and bed. There is no time with her. I miss her! :( Oh well. Such is life from now on I guess.
